Through the joyous lens of youth, <\/span>Maitland<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> explores the naivety and fragility shown within the harnessed imperfections of each work. Meanwhile, <\/span>Strong<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> combines light, colors and contrast in his portrayal of the Australian landscape and Brisbane. Within the \u2018Splash of Colour\u2019 body of work, Maitland draws inspiration from the ballet, depicting young ballerinas resting after training, a little exhausted and exhilarated. Sunday School is another theme explored by the artist, giving him <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201can excuse to have a lot of fun with paint\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 John Maitland. Characterized by bold applications of paint, Strong continues to build on his legacy of Internationally acclaimed impressionistic paintings. The artist describes the essence of this selection of works as <i>\u201cthe feature of light as the subject\u201d<\/i>. With his essential creative combination comprised of the portrayal of light, colour and contrast, the artist plays on the viewers imagination.
